Hahhhh, craft comp was fun. Shar & I missed the fun back in school though. GEL was on sex education today. I'm telling you we're gonna be so lost in the jokes of the class on tuesday, which is a little sad!

Anyhow, Shar's pretty oblivious, but I don't blame her. Michele's really slow in the grasp of jokes and facts, which makes her blur-cute. Vicki is darn lame. As for me, laughhhhh.
I was laughing & giggling throughout everything. Isn't that very typical of me? Hah.
3 out of the 4 of us are insanely pyscho (note the emphasis). Guess who's that extraordinary, sane one?

West div day tomorrrow, I'm looking forward to the fun, but I dislike the process. Gotta go read up on the environment now, and prepare myself for embarrassment.

School's fun luh, and tiring. Just that my dark eye rings and eyebags are coming back worse. Darn. My grandma was like "wait till you're older, get rid of them lah", in mandarin. How cool, I would if she sponsors me! Hahah, just kidding.

Friday! I love fridays. It's youth day holiday next monday, which means more rest and more time to do my work & repack my shelf and reorganise my file, just to prepare to study for end years. I'm scared honestly. I'm not doing what I preach huh. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:33 and yet I'm still worrying and revisiting the topic of "what subject combination should I take next year?", "what happens if I screw o's/a's up?", "what happens if I don't live up to expectations?" and yadaya, you know the rest.
Ultimately, I guess what's important to learn from mistakes. For me, it's 'cos I started revising only 2 weeks before exams last year, which obviously proved me stupid - grades. This year, I'm just gonna try, and go the extra mile to start earlier and make sure I do a good job out of it.

Before I go on, like yayyyyy, higher chinese isn't accounted for promotion to sec 3. I guess most of us don't bother as much as before anymore, but yeah, I know, everything's as important right? Yes.

There's something I don't understand, shouldn't we sing the national anthem and school song, be it loud or soft, 'cos in the end, we belong in Singapore and the school? I know everyone's different, and if one doesn't have the heart of really being proud of the above mentioned, I guess it's no point in the end. Hopefully, people will show just some effort, even if it's a teeny weeny bit, rather than commenting, "this school is crazy!" when we were asked to sing the school song over and over again.

That marks my first week of sem 2, good or bad, I don't know. I just know more homework's beckoning, and I won't get as much beauty sleep as before. SIGHHHH.

Still, God has blessed me bountifully this week, though I don't really see, feel, know how He has done so, being happy and free from sickness was a blessing in itself.

Man, I love weekends. I'm totally slacking right now. Homework makes me chafed, it's gross sometimes. Maybe, I'm still pretty much in the holiday mood but yea, I'll be out of it soon, hahah.

Newsweek is interesting to read! And all sorts of magazines and xin qi wu zhou bao and straits times. Just leave lian he zao bao out, 'cos those chinese words are too chim for me. Hahahhh.

talk about weight, i'm right in the centre of healthy weight, so that's good..? running 3 rounds at the same pace sent me dying after that though. my fitness level must have gone down, with my metabolism rate too. this is the result of not doing alot of exercise in the holidays. :(

anyway, for a change. everything's small-lettered today.

there were technically 4 free periods today, because ms goh, my iso mentor and mrs ng were on course. we digressed during the supposed iso discussion, as usual. sherri & alyssa were going on about digimon and pokemon while michelle hwang was trying hard to finish her overdue holiday math assignments. she didn't do anything, not one question so yea, she's so horrible yea. haha, we tried to discuss though. report draft's due this friday, and phew i'm so relieved i found our singapore consulate notes somewhere on my shelf. thank god (:

guides is actually very fun 'cos it isn't very stressful and the chit chats about school and other stuff's really.. nice,cool,fun,fill in the blanks. we did basic drill today 'cos we have to prepare for founder's. all of us sec 2s were so conscious about how weird our positions were. craft comp this friday should be quite cool, other than the fact michele, sharanya, and i aren't that 'crafty' like nicole said, ahem. ge rou's been down with chickenpox! :( so she's most probably gonna miss craft comp & west div day. hope she gets well soon, she hasn't been back in school yet! i'm gonna tell everyone that:
michele fam, lee e shyen & joyce goh are all evil. i'm gonna be such a disgrace and embarrassment to myself. imagine being dressed with recycled materials. say i'm kiasu, but activities for guides' west div day was on first-come-first-serve basis so i raised up my hand first like hahah.

gahhh, i still have lang arts eyewitness report for romeo & juliet's act 3 scene 1 by tomorrow. and read history so i won't be lost during history. and ss readings so mr seow'll be happy. electricity so i won't be slow during mr lim's class. and yi lun wen. i think 2k words really over for an argumentative but teachers are always right yes. :D

on a parting note, i'm gonna make myself start working hard(er) and study for end yrs from end of next month. :) i can't screw sec 2 up. i can'tttttt.

We had 4 free periods today. They were good 4 periods (slacky, chatty, whatever :p).

After we finished our LA discussion, Sharanya, Carissa, Priyanshu and I started being random and talking about all kinds of things. So, it went all the way to shampooes and facial cleansers.

Shar: So what facial cleansers do you guys use?
Me: You know I only use cetaphil, I don't have others like those don't know
what crap.
Shar: oh then you're quite lucky to have like so little pimples and good
complexion.
Carissa: I use many kinds 'cos sometimes when I'm at this place (shows any
spot) I'm too lazy to go all the way to my own toilet so I just use my my mum's
expensive cleansers.
Shar: Hahah, so what is it? The brand!
Carissa: I have no idea! I said already, I just use whichever's convenient
for me.

...Conversation drifted to pores and toners.
Shar: My mum's beautician said something like toners help to close pores or
something.
Me: How do you even know when pores are opened.
Priyanshu: Oh there's
this special machine which scans your face and then it'll be blue. White patches
show your open pores.
Me: How knowledgeable, haha.
Shar: What if I have open pores!
Priyanshu: Close them lah!

Hahah, the last two lines were the funniest.

much. When all seemed to be getting better, he just has to bring hopes high but give himself a badworse name by making things worse.
Just got back from the doc, and ugh, it's throat infection.

Apparently, the young lady doc I saw that day said my throat was fine, and just now, the doc said it's really swollen. Throat infection all over again.

On a brighter note, God uses these circumstances to let me learn more, to let my faith in Him grow stronger, and be more patient of being well again. He didn't want people to be sick, but when it happens, He uses that opportunity to teach us something. :) That's the good thing about it.

Yay, at least I've got medicine for phlegm, cough & runny nose now, and more paracetamol.

The bad thing is, all of them are taken at different intervals but ah, nevermind, I'll just take all 3 times a day (4 for paracetamol) :D

On the ferry back home yesterday evening, I woke up from a rest shivering/feeeling really cold, and a sore/really dry throat but I ran out of water, & my jacket had to be right at the bottom of my bag ):

I thought I was fine, until I got home. Heh, started feeling really cold and all & got more and more uncomfortable. -.- So I called my grandma and cried out to her honestly. I took my 2 year old oral thermometer and it only measured 37.1 so I thought nothing happened. Got worse and worse and when I used the ear one, it was like 38.3. What a bigggg difference.

Anyhow, I begged to go see a doctor. I was just trembling all over, I couldn't even write my name properly at the clinic. My grandma giggled at me, roar.

Anyway, I don't know why my temperature could get up to 38.7 just in awhile.

Nyehhh, had a bad rest through the night, but thank God the temp actually went down.

Phlegm & painful coughs are disgusting (shiz) ):

Hee, it just fluctuates alot until now. As the medicine wears off, I get colder & colder.
For the first time I screamed at my temp when I saw it before dinner just now (which explains my very shaggy look & messy hair in previous photos) -.-



Got my dad mad many times as well, 'cos he's been telling me to have faith in God, and that if I'd cast the devil in me away in the name of Jesus, I'll be in the pink all over again. But yet, I kept defying him with my words. I tried realllly hard to control but still, I said things like "I'm feeling really cold now. What should I do?" :/
Sigh, it's daddy's day tomorrow, so hope I can make him happy. :)


I'll just post about other stuff at camp tomorrow or something.
Seeing my condition, I'd skip church, again - Satan's doing something to me. I've missed church for so long,and now I get this illness (I know it'll go away soon). I even promised Laura I'd see her at church tomorrow on friday at the ferry terminal. When it comes to these circumstances, all I can do's pray and have that strong faith I know I've gotta have.

Prefects' Camp in Bintan was a blast! Everything was really good, I got to know everyone much better, and the food was like Y U M M Y. :D

They're great villa-mates! :D

Joelle's really cute. She's a little blur - not that bad, in fact it's quite cute & funny but she doesnt' mind our laughters at all :) When it gets to getting things done, she's right on task, like during reflections, she didn't allow us to watch teevee no matter how much we wanted to. =)

Haha, as for Rachel, met her on the bus. She sat next to me, and she initiated a chat, which I thought was really nice. I knew she was gonna be in my villa already, but she didn't know I was Gillian ;) Anyway, she'd always be the first one to switch the teevee on! Hahah, she's really nice & funny too. Honestly, before that when I saw her around in school, I thought she was quite nasty or whatever :p but nevermind, that's the past!

Bernice, the self-proclaimed Ber-so-nice, well who actually is nice's (: , really cute too! hahah, she's a really nice guides senior too. There isn't alot to talk about her, but thanks for the really really sour warheads! :D

I'm gonna miss those 3 sec 4s after they graduate. All the best for the O's! May God give you guys the strength and guidance all the way. (:


Cheryl's the funniest of them all. From ghosts to cup noodles, oh man, she made all of us laugh really alot. But, I really admire her and her prayers. I still don't have enough faith and strength for that. I know God's always there & He's watching over me and all, but I can't get myself to really proclaim to Him how much a sinner I am. Anyway, thanks Cheryl, learnt many good (and funny at that) things from you!

Tesssssa's really small & cute! She doesn't toss & turn while in bed! I'm really sorry for setting the alarm on the 3rd morning at Singapore time, so it kinda woke you up, but you're a really nice girl.

Now, in conclusion, I really had alot of fun with them, AND they're all screamy squealy when they see any sorts of creepy crawlies. At that, Bernice & Cheryl spotted a lizard in their toilet they suggested sleeping on Tessa & my bed.
On the 2nd night, Cheryl decided to go over to 40 (where Jia Ni, Zhang, Chik, Eva etc are) to boil hot water for her cup noodles since the thing in ours was spoilt. On the way, Tessa just had to mention something. There was this villa which none of us MG girls were staying in, and it looked really creepy 'cos the lights weren't on.

Tessa: *Points to the left* That house looks haunted!
Me: *Starts walking a little faster*
Tessa & Cheryl: *Runs* AHHHHH!

Hahah, man, and when we were leaving their villa, Tessa again had to say this:

peak of their passion, the process and success. so mrs ng recommended this show
on channel news asia. it's the rolex enterprise award winners, and i think they
feature certain people about their passion, at the peak. otherwise, you could
research on one (i think. you should check with some others who were in class
then too, 'cos i may be wrong)
