God is good,
all the time

Happy Birthday Jesus.
The week has been good, really really good.

From cycling and blading at ECP to selling uniforms at school, trying very hard to publicise guides, painting of banners for guides, to staying home on Saturday, just to finish my chinese book (Yes, we all know how horrible I am. :/), it's been good. I've been good.

Church on Sunday. I'm beginning to enjoy going there even though it's at Marine Parade which is far from home, and even though it's Hokkien Service. Following Dad & Aunt Kaylee to church was a good choice, a door God has opened up for me.
Giving up piano in P6 was a choice I made with no regrets, until today.
It's just amazing how God has used Aunt Evelyn, Eunice and Lujia to sway me back to the gift God has given to me with purpose, this time not for myself, but for God, for His Work. The feeling's really different, you can just feel someone calling you, calling you to do something for Him, and something you know you have and want to do.
I think it's great to have motives and attitudes of the Lord's. Faith, encouragement, motivation inspiration - all these give you a push and a lot of support.
I really thank God for giving me this opportunity.
Looking at the big picture, it'll have to begin with my aunt and uncle who brought me to Christ, my aunt giving me a picture bible that I made my Dad read to me every night before bedtime, Dad getting to know Aunt Kaylee, whose friend brought her to the Hokkien Service of COS(MP), who then brought Dad there - who was finally ready for God's call, whom I followed because I've drifted away from God - putting school before Him, not going to the youth service of BPMC anymore. But thank God, He has a plan, a purpose for everything - even if it's not before the situation, He'll make use of it and make something out of it, for us, for His Glory. His Power, Grace, Love, Faith and everything else you know of is indescribable.

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

I'll walk close to God, be His vessel of influence,
Because I know my God made a way for me.

Everything you see around you, is God's creation.
God has blessed us with many. Our family and friends, the wonderful things He's made for our eyes to see, food, clothes, materials for our own pleasure.
No one can do that except Him.

God, You Reign.
You are Good, You are Great
So awesome, You're worthy of all praise.

It's been a great Christmas, the best I've had by far - going to Batam on Sunday to witness the many souls that have been saved. Christmas service (in hokkien of course :p) over in Batam (it was in a shopping mall!) was amazing. The atmosphere. It may have been that that inspired me. You can really feel God's presence there. Worship was good - everyone singing, Lujia on the keyboard and Eunice on the drums. Just amazing. Uncle Stanley's preaching - there's only one thing you can say once you see it - Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit works in Him. God's amazing, no kidding.

Looking forward to this Sunday - hopefully my Hokkien has improved since I went for service a month ago because I'm still really lousy at it. Heh.

Thank God for the macbook I've been given from my grandpa. Just two months ago, he was disagreeing to it. I have to really thank God, huh? :)
Best (material) Christmas gift!

(I know I look like my dad)

Got two pooh bears from Nai Nai and Isaac, chocolate marshmallows from Dad, handphone accessory and a shirt from Aunt Kaylee and some cute stuff from others.
And a few cards. Thanks so much for the very cute cards!
:D

AGM tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how our new principal's like.
School starts next week!
So soon :( So, so soon.
Can't wait for Sec 1 Orientation Camp too, it's gonna be really fun, I'm sure.

2008 here we come!

Merry Christmas! (There're 10 more days so this isn't late :))
God bless everybody.

with Christ, for Christ.
You too, can be.

Christmas! :D

nerine Hello! Relinked :P Thanks for patronising our store today! Hahah, merry Christmas. (And no, M was quite a good fit for you. I mean it's dry fit right? X))
Sc Hohoho, oh company leader. And haha okay. I've only watched prince of tennis once. Yes! I finally updated on monday. Oh and yeah. That's okay. Christmas eve? Family dinner? :D I can't wait. Merry Christmas!
alicia Ahhhhhhhh-lika! Long time no see, thanks for tagging! Yeah, thank you very much - hope you're doing fine too. God bless!
JESS And so I didn't go for the concert in the end, as you've probably have known. ;) Oh, yea, mich and I actually wanted to go out that friday but I called it off after that. We can plan something for the june hols when we don't have supplementary or whatever! Sometime after mid-years! Yeaaa, I've been updating quite regularly these few days but the interval between each post will definitely be even more warped next year, heh. VS' Victoria School. Thanks for being a very faithful tagger Jess! Haha, merry Christmas & a happppy new year. :)
Sherri Hi Sherri :D Soooo sorry I didn't go in the end, but I'll pay you back! 15 dollars isn't a small sum. Glad/hope you had fun in Prague! And doing well there. Christmas' coming - I still have your presents with me. I'll see if I can pass it to you personally soon. We need to catch up a little, nevermind the different classes and the floor they're on. :) Merry Christmas in advance Sherri (and to Mao + Aunty Foong Ming and your dad). God bless!
sheral Hey! It's been great knowing you (and your crazy friends!) Hope we'll keep in touch and I'll never forget the funny incidents that happened during camp. Take care :)
YANNING Yes you! My towel. :( Haha, it's been great knowing you too. All the best for sec 3 (right?). Take care!
Felix Haha hello, yea, 'reserved for future use' is considered updating too.
zf Hahaha hello, it's really fun! But I can't do it. My cousin was complaining about needing to wear a tie. All the best at VJ. Merry Christmas. :)
joanna Hello jo! :D Thank you so so much for your concern. Yep, I'm happy and giggly and laughy (okay, no such word but nevermind!) as always. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance! God bless, love. :)
nathaniel Hey. Haha, yes?
Angela Hey Angie! Relinked. Take care and see you soon! (MC, HNY and God bless!)

Yay, Christmas' coming soon. I can't wait.
Knowing how great God is is just so heartwarming. Sending Jesus to save us all from our sins.
Presents, Log cake, Gingerbread men & house, Honey Roasted ham, Turkey - all the good stuff, but most importantly we have to remember what Christmas means, and really think about what it means to us.
Yayyyyy Monday's coming soon.

Today was pretty fun. Selling uniforms together with Diane and Min Feng (and Caris, Claire Yeo, Nina who came along). Yang Tze Kiang rocks! My favourite since P1. Hahaha. Go with the traditional! :P
I hope I get OG 6 if it's Salmon (not the nice sashimi, but one of the group names X)). Marian's in there, hahaaa.

'til the next update.

There's something to thank God for. Isaac Peck got into VS, his 3rd choice because his expectations of himself were pretty high (nushigh/acsi as 1st and 2nd choice). Poor boy'd have to wake up earlier next time. It's not just him who'll have woes of being unable to get to school on time - his mum too. Hillview to Bedok, far. :)

Roller blading and cycling at ECP today with Isaac, Amelia and my uncle. Really fun, especially when we are able to actually skate properly.
Fell down while cycling, adding another scar to my already bruised knee. It didn't hurt as we continued cycling to Changi so thank God for that. In fact, all the wind blowing against me cooled the wound down.
:D

Okay, really busy with sec 1 reg stuff for tomorrow. Dad definitely deserves to scold me.
Night!

Be the one

Firstly, I'll start off with apologising to (part of) 2G for not being able to make it for tonight's Christmas party, also the last party of the year we're having as 2G'07. For why I'm actually here blogging and not at Amaris' house (whose potato salad I'm gonna miss alot, and just missed) with the rest having a time of fellowship, my time with friends away from home has been disallowed by my Grandma after I've gone out with friends and my mum the past few days. :(
I'm really really sorry, but I sincerely hope you guys are having alot of fun and I'm sure God will bless & watch over each one of you through the Christmas party so that you guys'll have a great time of fellowship and fun :D

I overslept this morning and was late for my breakfast appointment with Ge Rou, Michele (RAINBOW) Fam and Lydia, but haha, Lyd was a little later than me! We chatted for awhile and then ah Gui, Michy and I took a cab to East Coast to meet Nic, Fiona, Shyen and Xiao Hui. (Xiao was late by half an hour though and made up with 3/4 packet of peanut butter M&Ms :))

It was a pity Shar, Lyd and Jia Ni couldn't make it for cycling :( It was really fun and spastic but tiring.

We cycled for 3 hours (including the many breaks we took). It was definitely an experience for me and for the rest too I believe. We cycled from the bicycle rental area all the way out of ECP until 2km from Changi Beach Park/Village. That's really a loooong way, but quite enjoyable for me. I like cycling alot, roller blading's a no-no for me though. :P It's the exact reverse for Ge Rou - she can't cycle that quickly, but she blades really well.
It was really cool seeing planes take off (since we practically cycled the whole length of the runway) and thrilling 'cos I enjoy watching them take off.

Took during a break in some place we never knew existed :D

Thank God it didn't rain very heavily until we were on the way back to return the bikes. God's really omnipresent, small things like not getting hurt from cycling is a blessing from Him. :)
Along the road (seemed never-ending) towards Changi, I sort-of lost control of the bicycle and almost almost fell into the drain, but something pulled me back. That's really the Power of God and not until you experience it, you wouldn't understand, so why not seek Him and you'll really find anything you feel's missing in your life right now. :) As Matthew 7:7 goes, Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find.

Be a follower of Jesus today.
:)

PS Jess I updated! (:

missed me?

Helllllo everybody!

It's been long since my last post, I think. Quite long. :D

I really thank God for all the opportunities He has given me, like being able to participate in guides camps, LTC and all. Many new experiences :D

It's time I do that again. How can I have "no time"? Is it an excuse I should have to be stressed up, even during the holidays? No. Dad says it's time I take a step back and look at my life and ask myself - "Why do I have no time? Why am I so busy? Is it time to let some things (e.g. commitments to CCA and all) go? God is still first."
Even though I admit I have quite some stuff on hand, I still have time to spend with God and my family, which is just great man. :D
Not to forget SLACKING, playing/chatting on MSN. :P

I'll just post many posts at one go with whatever has been going on k! (guides camp and LTC another time :))

27 Nov
Can't really remember what I did on the 26th (monday) but on the 27th,
met up with best friend (Ge Rou), Fiona, E Shyen and Kelly at KAP to come up with the last banner and poster designs for guides comp. for Ms Lau to choose. Laughing day as usual - many stupid things happened. Hehe.
So Fi borrowed ah Gui's eraser and actually returned it to Gui, but Gui forgot, and she couldn't find it in her pencil case awhile later when we needed it. Hence, they decided to go to Cold Storage to buy a pack. They came back with 6 erasers, but guess what? While they were gone, I found the eraser deep in the corner of Gui's pencil case. That was hilarious. :P
Fi and I had fun at Cold Storage walking around like mad, lost, aimless people getting inspiration, and we did. 8 silly and good ideas came out of that walk. Hahaha, Fi's just so cute.

Next, because of some miscommunication (battery flat phone! :(:() I had to go all the way to Tampines to meet JY to discuss SMPF stuff, to much failure for an obvious reason.

IT WAS PETRA CHUA'S HOUSE.

When I got there, JY, Lina and Rachel were still at Tamp. Mall so I ended up playing Tennis with Chua instead. Obviously, I missed the ball alot, but I can serve man, muahahah. I think I embarrassed myself alot then, but it was fun. :D Then, when JY got there, we couldn't really discuss much because of all the noise from Chua especially, hahhaa.
Fun overall, Petra's house isn't as bad as I thought it'll be. Just that the cab fare there cost me 13 bucks. :(

28 Nov
International Guides Camp Day 1
Thank you sooo much Shar for giving me a lift to Camp Christine, and even offering to pick me up at the bus stop outside my house so I didn't have to go to yours. :)
We didn't do much on the first day, really more of warming up to sub-camp mates (there were 4 sub-camps /big groups) and pitching of the tents (Shar, Lydia, Justina and I had a collapsing tent. :P) So, there was nothing much.

29 Nov
IGC Day 2
I got Cable Skiing and Fencing as activities for the 29th and it was really good man!
Cable Skiing was at ECP in the morning. Lydia's really good at it - not just on a kneeboard - but even on her first try with DOUBLE SKIS, she went really far already! Further than everyone else on the kneeboard (the supposed easiest one to use) and double skis. Fi, Shyen and Ge Rou all fell after a few seconds on the skis on the first try. Me too. But mine was worse. I didn't go ANY further than 4m for all 3 tries, so I'm just not fit for that sport. Really proud of Lyddie, ah Gui, Shyen and Fi on her last try.! They did great man! :D
Next, it was Fencing at fencing masters at some ulu place in Ubi Park (I think!)
That was really fun too - bad bad muscle aches.
Lunges, where we have to step forward as far as we can to attack our opponents or something really makes our thigh muscles ache.
Fencing supposedly help us tone our thighs and butts. Hahaha.
Lyd and I ended up going on about how we have to go home and lunge on our left!

Cable skiing and fencing were both great first-time experiences so it was worth going for the camp for that! :D

30 Nov
IGC Day 3
I had to leave that night - family obligation (sat)
Rafting and Recycling Art.
Rafting was cool. We got to practise square lashings and Lyd's really a good leader and supervisor. Beats Ah Gui who LOVES to supervise. :P Haha, just kidding!
I got to hold a pedal for the first time, and finally understood what 'pedal forward' and 'pedal backwards' mean 'cos I couldn't get it initially. Our raft went the wrong way (and I definitely contributed to this 'cos of the wrong pedalling :s), we almost hit a stationary boat. It was a good experience though - made new friends as all of us worked together!

Recycling Art - we all thought it was gonna be bad. But no! We got to learn a new skill - toe weaving with 3,5 and 7 threads/strings/yarn! So next time I can make friendship bands for friends. :) More sincere.
We were also supposed to make a small sling bag - silicon cord and blue cloth were given and I, being sewing-illiterate took soooo long to just sew the cord to the bag. ;] I didn't have the time to sew patterns onto the bag as I was really urgent for the toilet.
Here comes the best part of the camp (for me, at least).
All the jokes about our tent collapsing, it did. I could no longer hold my bowels so I dragged Shyen to the toilet with me, and after I used it, I wanted to go pack my bag because I was leaving that night. Shyen went "Oh my God, your tent!". I really didn't know what happened but when I saw it, hahaha that moment was priceless. I tried fixing it, but I couldn't do it on my own, so I just held on the 'dolly' (it was definitely not as strong as the huge green 8-man tent) and waited for 'rescue' which I longed for (then). Seeing Shar and Lydia strolling towards me, I was quite worked up but in the end our rafting 'instructor' came over to help us so yeah, that was okay. The funny part of that incident is, that instructor was wet from rafting so his shirt was translucent. Justina and Sharanya were standing on the side with his back facing, and Shar spotted tattoos. While Shar was trying to point that out to Justina, she thought we were just letting her know that was our rafting instructor. Sharanya looked constipated as she was laughing and telling Justina 'no, that wasn't what I meant', keeping her fingers pointed but Justina didn't get in. It's hard to explain, but if you were there, you'd probably have had a bad stomachache, and hopefully got some abs. ;) I laughed so much I fell on the floor and wanted Fiona to help me up. Instead of holding me steadily, she let go of her hands even before I fully got up, so I fell back down onto the slightly wet grass. What I did NOT realise was, Shar's wet rafting shoes were right next to me, and I was in fact lying on one of them on the side. That just got everybody laughing all over again. There were 2 or 3 other similar laughing incidents, but it's been really quite long I can't remember the details. That night, Mum came to fetch me home and we had crispy noodles at some coffee shop in CCK. :)
Nonetheless, I still thank God for giving us such laughing incidents because it did bring us closer when you do things together - laughing in this case. God also used the 'collapsed tent' incident to teach us how to respond to such situations, an experience we may not experience again. Personally, while I was waiting for help to come, I felt anxious and this funny feeling really hard to explain, but I knew I was getting restless and thinking 'why are they taking so long!' because others started staring at me holding the tent by the side with some weird facial expression. Impatience and restlessness are just part of who I am, the part which I know I had to change. I really like the feeling when you know this is another incident God's trying to teach you something, even though it's a really small something.
:D

Okay, yay! Finally updated. :)
